AdSense serves to all non-Premium visitors, but ads are personalized only if you allow advertising; otherwise StudiesTimer sends a denied advertising-consent signal and Google serves non-personalized ads that do not read or write advertising cookies.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Railway. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/SSL. Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe. Card details do not pass through or remain on StudiesTimer servers; we do receive payment status, plan, amount, currency, and Stripe transaction identifiers needed to activate and support purchases.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (via Settings page)

Essential storage keeps the timer and your settings working. Optional analytics stays off until you allow it. Non-Premium visitors see AdSense ads either way: with advertising permission Google may use advertising cookies to personalize them, and without it we send a denied advertising-consent signal so Google serves non-personalized ads, which do not use advertising cookies or identifiers to build a profile of you. Premium subscribers see no ads at all.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, your choices are collected by Google's certified consent management platform rather than the banner described above, so you will see Google's consent message instead of ours. Your selection there governs both advertising and measurement on StudiesTimer, and you can reopen it at any time to change your mind.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
